Tusk assesses coming months as decisive for Ukraine

The next 100 days could determine the outcome of the Russian-Ukrainian war, so allies need to continue and intensify their support for Kyiv. This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, reports The Guardian.

According to the head of the Polish government, the chances of the sides can currently be assessed as equal. He made this conclusion after speaking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Tusk stressed that Poland's security directly depends on the effectiveness of the Ukrainian army, including its ability to repel Russian air attacks. He believes that Western partners should provide Ukraine with more of the weapons that Kyiv requests to protect its airspace.

The Polish prime minister stated that Warsaw intends to do everything possible so that Ukraine does not lose the war. According to him, the result of the conflict also largely depends on the decisions of the most influential political and technological leaders, including US President Donald Trump and SpaceX head Elon Musk.

The statement was made during a visit to the crash site of a Russian missile near the settlement of Tarnawa-Colonia in the Lublin Voivodeship. Preliminary data from Polish authorities indicates that it was a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile.

Tusk noted that there are currently no grounds to believe Poland was the deliberate target of the strike. Polish authorities are investigating the circumstances of the airspace violation, and the US has expressed interest in participating in the investigation.
