Hungary condemned Russia's attack on Ukraine and the missile in Poland

Hungary has condemned Russia's latest massive attack on Ukraine, as well as the violation of Polish airspace by a Russian missile. This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Anita Orban.

The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry published a statement on the social network X after an overnight combined strike by Russian forces on Ukrainian cities. The attack was accompanied by the launch of dozens of missiles and hundreds of strike drones.

During the strike, a cruise missile crossed the Polish border and exploded in a field near the village of Tarnawa-Kolonia in the Lublin Voivodeship. The incident created a crater of about 10 meters in diameter, but no people were injured.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported that the debris found at the site most likely belongs to a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile. However, Polish authorities do not currently consider the country to have been the intended target of the strike.

In the wake of the Russian attack, Poland put air defense systems on standby and scrambled military aircraft. NATO stated that the Alliance will continue to take necessary measures to protect the territory of member nations.
