Alexey Sсоболев Became Deputy Head of the Presidential Office

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has appointed Alexey Sobolev as Deputy Head of the Presidential Office. He will be responsible for the economic sector, the head of state announced on Thursday, July 30.

Sobolev will work in coordination with Prime Minister Sergei Koretsky, Minister of Economy and Environment Alexander Kravchenko, other members of the government, as well as regional and local authorities.

Among the main tasks of the new Deputy Head of the Presidential Office are support for economic activity, entrepreneurs and business, maintaining existing and creating new jobs.

In addition, Sobolev will coordinate work with international partners on the development and practical content of the post-war recovery plan for Ukraine.

According to Zelensky, by the time the war ends, the country should be ready to transition to normal civilian economic life. At the same time, it is necessary to preserve the potential of defense production and create conditions for the realization of entrepreneurial and professional opportunities of Ukrainians within the country.

Until July 2026, Sobolev headed the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine. To accomplish his new tasks, he must establish interaction between the government, the Presidential Office, regional authorities, business, the scientific community and civil society.
