Poland may supply Ukraine with new Patriot missiles

Poland will consider providing further military aid to Ukraine, including the transfer of missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems. Prime Minister Donald Tusk made this statement.

The head of the Polish government emphasized that no decision has yet been made. Warsaw must assess available resources and coordinate any possible transfer of weapons with allies to ensure that support for Ukraine does not weaken Poland's own security.

"We will consider further assistance to Ukraine, including with regard to Patriot," — stated Tusk.

According to him, not everyone in Poland may like such a decision, but the authorities intend to do everything possible to keep Ukraine from losing the war.

The statement followed a massive Russian attack on Ukraine in which a cruise missile violated Polish airspace and landed in an unpopulated area near Lublin. Polish authorities believe it was most likely a Russian Kh-101 missile with a warhead.

Tusk noted that the next 100 days could be pivotal for the Russia-Ukraine war. He urged allies to increase support for Kyiv, particularly with air defense capabilities.

Poland has already transferred several PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems to Ukraine. Officials in Warsaw said the delivery was coordinated with the US and NATO, and that in the event of a direct threat, allies had committed to promptly provide Poland with additional air defense systems.
