Dollar exchange rate decreased at the end of the month
On Friday, July 31, trading on the interbank currency market is carried out in a narrow range of 44.64-44.68 UAH. The activity of market participants has decreased significantly: it is affected by the fact that today is Friday and the last day of the month.
The majority of both buyers and sellers of currency have already closed their needs. Those buyers who submit orders are in no hurry to buy at current prices, hoping for a continued decrease in quotations. The National Bank has not yet intervened today.
The euro on the interbank currency market of Ukraine on Friday is trading in the range of 51.31-51.48 UAH on the "bid" position. Yesterday evening, the euro/dollar cross rate on the international FOREX market rose to 1.1537 dollars after the Bank of Japan conducted a massive intervention in support of the yen, which caused a sharp drop in the dollar against other leading world currencies. At the time of writing, the euro on FOREX is trading in the range of 1.1520-1.1525 dollars.
Cash dollar prices have decreased, reacting to yesterday's decrease in interbank quotations. If yesterday during the day wholesale exchange offices in Kyiv sold dollars at 44.82-44.83 UAH, today – already at 44.80 UAH. In Khmelnytskyi, Dnipro and Chernivtsi, dollars are sold at 44.85 UAH, in Poltava – at 44.90 UAH.
Ukrainian banks by 12:00 sell dollars at a price from 44.75 UAH in Bank Lviv to 45.25 UAH in Zaporizhzhia Metbank. As for the euro, at the moment it can be purchased cheapest in the Commercial Industrial Bank at 51.45 UAH.
Oil prices slightly corrected after yesterday's growth. The popular Brent grade rose to $84.61 per barrel and is currently trading in the range of $86.00-86.50 per barrel.
On cryptocurrency exchanges, prices for major cryptocurrencies are falling again after three days of growth. On the most popular crypto exchange Binance this morning, bitcoin dropped to $63,780 per coin, and ethereum – to $1,884.5 per coin. Currently bitcoin is sold at $63,790 - 63,820, and ethereum – at $1,886-1,892 per coin.
