Pepco names locations of first stores in Kyiv

The European retail chain Pepco plans to open its first stores in Kyiv at the Respublika Park, Retroville, and River Mall shopping centers.

The Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centers and the industry publication All Retail reported the approval of these locations. In addition to Kyiv, the chain's stores are set to open in Chernivtsi, Mukachevo, and Ternopil.

The first Pepco stores in Ukraine are planned to launch in the second half of 2026. According to an official company announcement, the first store is expected to begin operations in October. Ukraine will become the 20th market for the retailer.

The company has already started recruiting employees and preparing the stores for opening. Pepco stated that it will adapt its operational processes to local conditions and the needs of Ukrainian customers.

According to Pepco's head in Ukraine, Arsen Starchenko, the chain aims to offer Ukrainians clothing and home goods at affordable prices.

"We are now focused on the thorough preparation of these first stores, adapting our operational processes to local conditions and customer needs", - he noted.

What Pepco will sell

The core assortment of the chain consists of home goods and clothing for the whole family. Approximately 30% of the products are home goods, 25% are children's clothing, and 21% are adult clothing.

The stores will also sell toys, decor, tableware, seasonal products, and other everyday goods.

Pepco was founded in Poland over 20 years ago. The chain currently operates over 4,000 stores across 19 countries. The company employs over 32,000 people, and its stores are visited by approximately 36 million customers each month.

By the end of 2026, Pepco could open between five and ten stores in Ukraine. The expansion will proceed gradually, taking into account operational and security conditions.
