Russia began importing fuel from another country

Russia received a shipment of gasoline from Morocco by sea, approximately 30,000 tons.

According to two industry sources speaking to Reuters, AI-92 grade gasoline was delivered to Russia. The interlocutors did not provide other details regarding the supply.

Thus, Russia continues to expand the geography of motor fuel purchases abroad.

It was previously reported that Russia began importing gasoline from India by sea amid Ukrainian strikes on its oil refining and other energy infrastructure. According to industry sources, at least 60,000 tons of gasoline have been shipped from India.

Belarus remains one of the largest fuel suppliers to Russia. Moscow has also been negotiating gasoline imports from Kazakhstan.

Earlier, Russia, a major producer and exporter of oil and oil products, mainly supplied the domestic market with its own fuel. However, Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries and related infrastructure have forced Moscow to more actively seek gasoline abroad.
