Starting August 1, a new transfer QR ticket will be introduced in Kyiv, allowing unlimited transfers between different types of city transport within 90 minutes. Its cost will be 60 hryvnias.

The ticket can be used on the metro, buses, trolleybuses, trams, and the funicular. The 90-minute countdown begins after the first validation, and with each subsequent transfer, the passenger will need to scan the same QR code again inside the vehicle or at the metro turnstile.

Before the first trip, the purchased ticket can be stored in the “Kyiv Digital” app for 15 days. You can buy it in the “Buy QR ticket” section, selecting the “City Transport” category and the “Transfer” ticket type. Sales will also be available through city ticket terminals.

During a fare inspection, the passenger simply needs to show the QR code to the inspector. After scanning it, the employee will see information about all validations made within the 90-minute period. No additional payment confirmation will be required.

Unlike a regular QR ticket, the transfer ticket cannot be given to another user. This restriction is due to the possibility of using one code multiple times across different modes of transport.

The launch of the new fare will not change the price of regular QR tickets. Current trip discounts still apply only to topping up a transport card and purchasing travel passes, while the price of single-use QR tickets remains fixed.

The Kyiv City State Administration noted that such tickets are available in many European capitals. The new format is intended to simplify routes requiring multiple transfers between the metro and surface transport.
