Russia's strike on Pavlohrad: shopping center on fire

Russian troops struck Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region on the evening of July 31. As a result of the attack, a shopping center caught fire in the city.

According to preliminary data, one person was injured. Information about his condition and the need for hospitalization was not disclosed at the time of publication. 

Emergency services are working at the site of the strike. Rescuers are extinguishing the fire and examining the damaged building. The full extent of the destruction will be known after emergency and rescue operations are completed.

The area of the fire, the name of the damaged shopping center, and the number of people inside the building at the time of the attack have not yet been specified.

It is also unknown what kind of weapon Russian troops used for the strike. The authorities have not yet reported whether the city was attacked by drones, missiles, or guided aerial bombs.

Pavlohrad was repeatedly targeted by Russian strikes in July. On July 20, Russian forces struck a multi-storey residential building in the city with a guided aerial bomb for the first time. Two people died then, and at least 15 others were injured. 

Three days later, Russian military struck a food processing plant with guided aerial bombs. As a result of the attack on July 23, three people died, and 29 residents were injured, including a two-year-old girl.

Thus, the strike on the shopping center was another attack on a civilian facility in Pavlohrad in recent weeks. Data on casualties and consequences of the shelling may be updated following reports from the regional military administration, police, and the State Emergency Service.
