Zelenskyy signed a Free Trade Agreement with Turkey

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday signed a law ratifying the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Turkey, according to Європейська правда.

This is stated in the description of the bill on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

Thus, bill No. 0340 on the ratification of the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Turkey has officially become law.

The agreement between the countries will promote the development of bilateral cooperation and expand markets for Ukrainian and Turkish producers. Among other things, the document provides for the mutual abolition of duties on a number of goods.

The Verkhovna Rada ratified the Agreement on July 14.

In turn, Turkey ratified the Free Trade Agreement with Ukraine on August 2, 2024.

The Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Turkey was signed back on February 3, 2022, and preparations for this lasted 15 years.
