"Ukrzaliznytsia" expands service between Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions

"Ukrzaliznytsia" expands regional service between Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions. Four regional trains will appear on the Kyiv–Korosten route and in the opposite direction.

This was reported by the company's press service.

The trips will be served by thoroughly modernized electric trains. For the fourth time since the beginning of the year, the company has experimentally equipped the updated trains with air conditioning systems.

The trains will run according to the following schedule:

  • No. 856 Korosten — Kyiv: departure at 05:07, arrival at 07:42;
  • No. 855 Kyiv — Korosten: departure at 09:20, arrival at 12:15;
  • No. 860 Korosten — Kyiv: departure at 13:40, arrival at 16:23;
  • No. 859 Kyiv — Korosten: departure at 17:30, arrival at 20:13.

When forming the routes, the company analyzed ticket sales statistics and provided stops at stations with the highest passenger traffic. These include Chopovychi, Shchebzavod, Vorzel, and Lisna Bucha.

In addition, two suburban trips have been launched on this route between Malyn and Kyiv.

Ukrzaliznytsia noted that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, 54 thoroughly modernized electric trains have already entered service on various routes.
