General Staff reported on situation on the front on the evening of July 31
Since the beginning of the day on July 31, 207 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Russian troops attacked most actively on the Pokrovsk, Konstantinovka and Slavic directions.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational summary as of 22:00.
During the day, the Russian army launched one missile strike using two missiles and 55 air strikes, dropping 168 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, Russian forces used 6415 kamikaze drones for attacks and carried out 1953 shellings of positions of Ukrainian military and settlements.
On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian units conducted 28 attacks in the areas of Dorozhne, Udachne and Novooleksandrivka, as well as towards a number of other settlements. As of the evening, two combat clashes were ongoing.
According to preliminary data from the General Staff, on this direction the Ukrainian military eliminated 20 Russian servicemen, and another 11 were wounded. Four vehicles, an unmanned aerial vehicle control point and 208 UAVs of different types were also destroyed. Two artillery systems, one vehicle and 32 shelters of enemy personnel were damaged.
On the Konstantinovka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 22 assaults in the areas of Konstantinovka, Ivanopillia, Ilyinovka and Rusyn Yar, as well as towards Novopavlivka. Two battles were ongoing.
On the Slavic direction, Ukrainian forces stopped 19 attempts by Russian troops to advance. On the South Slaviansk direction, the enemy stormed the positions of the Defense Forces 14 times.
On the Liman direction, Ukrainian units repelled seven attacks, on the Hulyaipole direction – also seven. On the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops conducted three attacks, and another three attempts to advance were recorded on the Orikhiv direction.
On the Kupiansk and Prydniprovske directions, Russian troops did not conduct offensive actions. On the rest of the frontline, no significant changes occurred.
