As a result of a Russian attack on Friday, July 31, the sorting terminal of the Nova Poshta company in Poltava was completely destroyed.

This was reported by the company's press service on Telegram.

Nova Poshta called the strike another Russian attack on Ukraine's civilian logistics infrastructure. Emergency services are working at the destroyed site, dealing with the aftermath and inspecting the area.

The company is assessing the extent of the damage and determining how many shipments were at the terminal during the attack. The initial report does not contain information about casualties or injuries.

Sorting terminals receive shipments from branches, distribute them by direction, and pass them on for further delivery. The destruction of such a facility may affect parcel processing in the region.

To keep shipments moving, Nova Poshta usually employs backup logistics routes and other sorting centers. After previous Russian strikes, the company also compensated customers the declared value of destroyed or damaged parcels.

Customers are advised to check the current status of their shipments in the Nova Poshta mobile app or on the website. The company promises to provide additional information on the operation of the Poltava route once the damage assessment is complete.

Russian forces regularly strike Ukraine's postal and logistics infrastructure. In July, company terminals in Sumy, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and the Kharkiv region were attacked. Some of the strikes resulted in the deaths of employees and drivers of carrier companies.
