Russia has destroyed almost 40 Naftogaz gas stations since the beginning of the year

During January to July 2026, 37 filling station complexes belonging to the "Naftogaz Group" were destroyed as a result of Russian attacks. Some of the damaged facilities have already been repaired and put back into operation, while the rest remain out of service due to critical damage.

Since the beginning of the year, Russian troops have attacked 32 filling station complexes of the UKRNAFTA and five complexes of "Ukrgasvydobuvannya". Some facilities were hit repeatedly, including after repairs were completed and operations restored.

Acting Chairman of the Board of JSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine" Serhiy Fedorenko emphasized that filling station complexes are civilian infrastructure. In frontline regions, the availability of fuel is critical for the work of medical personnel, rescue workers, emergency services, and public transport.

"Despite the attacks, we repair facilities, bring them back into operation, and continue to supply fuel, including to frontline areas," said Fedorenko.

In total, since the beginning of the Russian aggression in 2014, the state network UKRNAFTA has lost 123 filling station complexes. Of these, 67 remain in temporarily occupied territories. Other facilities were destroyed or ceased operations due to proximity to areas of hostilities.

Earlier, the Financial Times reported that since the start of summer, more than 200 Ukrainian filling stations were destroyed as a result of Russian attacks. At least 80 of them are located in the Kharkiv region.
