On Monday, August 3, non-cash dollar quotes on the interbank foreign exchange market surged upwards and by the time of writing reached 44.835 UAH on the bid and 44.855 UAH on the offer.

In just 2 hours, the dollar on the interbank market rose by 20 kopecks. The reason is increased activity of market participants on the first working day of the new month. Importers are rushing to pay for new contracts, seeing that currency prices have started to rise again. The National Bank has been intervening since the morning: by the time of writing, it had already sold about 120-130 million dollars, but this did not affect the growth of quotes in any way. According to the portal 'Ukraine's Exchange Rate', the NBU does not hinder growth, hoping for an increase in the supply of foreign currency earnings from exporting companies.

The euro on Ukraine's interbank foreign exchange market also rose in price on Monday and is trading in the range of 51.51-51.65 UAH on the bid. On Sunday night, the euro/dollar cross-rate on the international FOREX market reached 1.1559 dollars, but then began to decline. At the time of writing, the euro is trading on FOREX in the range of 1.1521-1.1525 dollars.
