Ukraine is expected to experience mostly dry and hot weather from August 4 to 6. Daytime temperatures in most regions will reach 35–38 degrees.

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, nighttime temperatures will range from 18 to 25 degrees. The heat is expected to ease only during the day on August 6 in the west of the country, where short-term rains with thunderstorms will occur in some places.

On Tuesday, August 4, daytime temperatures of 30–34 degrees are forecast in the east and northeast, while the rest of the territory will experience intense heat up to 35–38 degrees. No precipitation is expected.

In Kyiv, on August 4, the temperature will be 20–22 degrees at night and around 35 degrees during the day. In Kyiv Oblast, nighttime temperatures of 18–23 degrees are expected, with daytime highs of 35–37 degrees. In the capital, August 5 forecasts up to 33 degrees, and August 6 up to 36 degrees.

Forecasters have also warned of an extreme level of fire danger. The dry and hot weather increases the likelihood of fires starting and spreading rapidly in natural ecosystems when ignition sources are present.
