MFA Urges French to Treat Mendel's Words with Caution
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine urged the French media community to treat with caution the statements of former spokesperson of the President of Ukraine Yulia Mendel, according to Європейська правда.
The corresponding statement in French was published by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi.
The spokesperson noted that Yulia Mendel left the president’s team many years ago and has since earned a controversial reputation for "manipulative statements that systematically echo the narratives of Russian propaganda".

"Given her recent appearance in the French media, we call on journalists to exercise the utmost vigilance. Do not be fooled by claims that in no way reflect the real situation in Ukraine or around Ukraine's leadership", – Heorhii Tykhyi urged.
"She should not be considered a reliable source—she is more of a 'new voice' meant to replace Ksenia Fedorova, against whom a just decision for expulsion was made", – he added.
It should be recalled that on July 29, France issued a deportation order for Ksenia Fedorova, who previously headed the French service of the Russian state television channel RT, and afterward continued to appear on some outlets as a commentator, spreading pro-Russian narratives.
On August 3, the court rejected her appeal against the decision on her expulsion from the country and the freezing of her assets.
