Koretskyi demanded synchronization of the work of the Cabinet and the Rada
Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi emphasized the need for synchronous and coordinated work of the government and parliament to pass the necessary bills that will lead Ukraine into the European Union. He said this during his speech at the meeting of ambassadors in Kyiv on August 3, according to Європейська правда.
Koretskyi stated that his strategic priority is the fastest possible progress of Ukraine towards membership in the European Union.
"We will continue what was started by previous governments, because a lot has been done; we will take all the best and strengthen it", he assured.
The Prime Minister stressed that the successful implementation of the European integration agenda is impossible without close cooperation between the government and parliament.
"I have already asked for and demanded this at all levels: without synchronous, coordinated work of the government with the parliament, there will not be that sufficient and necessary number of bills that lead us into the European Union", the Prime Minister emphasized.
Recently, Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin linked the expected delay in opening the final negotiation clusters on Ukraine's accession to the EU with the reform process.
In an interview with "EuroPravda", Martin said that the goal of the Irish presidency of the EU is to open all negotiation clusters with Ukraine by the end of the year, and for this, clusters 2 and 3 must be opened as soon as possible. However, the opening of clusters 4 and 5 will be delayed; according to him, this timeline is realistic.
