Russian Strikes Damage Civilian Infrastructure and Warehouses

Overnight on August 4, Russian troops attacked Sumy, a suburb of Dnipro, and Mykolaiv region. As a result of the strikes, residential and non-residential buildings were destroyed and damaged, and fires broke out at food warehouses and a storage facility.

In Sumy, six guided aerial bombs hit the city’s civilian infrastructure. Residential buildings and non-residential structures were damaged and destroyed. Examination and liquidation of the consequences are ongoing at the impact sites.

Another two Russian aerial bombs, according to air defense forces, were shot down on their approach to populated areas.

The strike on Sumy killed two girls, aged five and ten, and an elderly woman. Rescuers pulled the children's bodies from the rubble of the house. Four more people sought medical help due to an acute stress reaction.

In a suburb of Dnipro, a drone attack caused a large-scale fire at food product warehouses. Information on possible casualties is being clarified. As of the morning, the regional authorities had not provided additional details about the extent of the damage.

In the Halytsynove community of Mykolaiv region, a Shahed-type drone strike caused a fire at a storage facility. According to the regional military administration, there were no casualties.
