Drones attacked logistics facilities in Moscow and Leningrad regions
On the night of August 4, drones attacked industrial and logistics facilities in several regions of Russia. Warehouse complexes, an electrical substation, and an administrative building were damaged, and fires broke out at a number of sites.
The most significant confirmed destruction was recorded in the Novoselki industrial zone in Chekhov near Moscow. According to Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov, drone strikes caused several fires. The largest blaze occurred at a warehouse, where open flames were extinguished.
The electrical substation and administrative building in the industrial zone were also damaged. OSINT analyst Astra geolocated the attack site near the warehouse complex at 11 Novoselki Estate. This industrial zone houses the Wildberries logistics centers "Chekhov-1" and "Chekhov-2".
As a result of the attack in Chekhov, according to preliminary data from Russian authorities, five people were killed and six others were wounded. In the neighboring village of Solnishkovo, drone fragments damaged a private house and a car, but no one was injured there.
In the Leningrad region, a fire broke out in a warehouse zone near the settlement of Krasny Bor in the Tosnensky district. Governor Alexander Drozdenko reported damage to a warehouse facility and one person injured.
Based on analysis of eyewitness videos, Astra determined that smoke was rising over the area where logistics complexes of Wildberries, covering 154,000 square meters, and the "Lenta" chain, covering 70,000 square meters, are located. It was not possible at that time to definitively determine which complex sustained damage. Krasny Bor is officially listed among Wildberries' logistics sites.
Another Wildberries facility was damaged in the settlement of Emmaus in the Kalininsky district of the Tver region. According to the regional head Vitaly Korolyov, a drone fragment partially destroyed a warehouse wall. No employees of the complex were injured.
Astra also reported, citing eyewitnesses, a fire and heavy smoke in Kstovo in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The specific object burning and the extent of the damage were not clarified at the time of publication.
The monitoring channel Exilenova+ shared footage of a fire at an oil refinery in Syzran in the Samara region. There was no official confirmation at that time of the strike, the cause of the fire, or the scale of possible destruction.
