Zelensky agreed on new SBU operations against Russia

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, approved new operations of the Security Service of Ukraine to counter Russian aggression. The head of state did not disclose the details of the planned measures. Zelensky announced this following a report on Ukraine's operations against Russia.

According to the president, the SBU has good results, and the deputy head of the service, Oleksandr Poklad, reported to him on the agency's priorities for August.

"The Security Service of Ukraine has good results, and today I approved new operations", - Zelensky stated.

The president also approved further steps to purge the internal structure of the SBU of employees who, according to him, "work for themselves, not for Ukraine."

Earlier, on 25 June, Zelensky approved for the SBU a 40-day operation of influence on the aggressor state, the goal of which he named the encouragement of Russia to end the war. Since then, 40 days have passed.

At that time, the president listened to a report on the plan of "long-range sanctions," medium-range strikes, and the results of the SBU's work on the front. At the same time, neither then nor in the new statement did Zelensky reveal the content of the operations.

The head of state also did not specify whether the measures agreed on 4 August were related to the previous 40-day operation. Presumably, the SBU operation is linked to long-range strikes against Russian oil refineries, logistics, and other facilities, as they were publicly reported on.
