The Polish President's office urged Tusk to finally sign the decision to strip Zelenskyy of his order

Head of the Chancellery of the President of Poland, Zbigniew Bogucki, called on Prime Minister Donald Tusk to sign the decision to strip President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy of the Order of the White Eagle. He wrote about this on X, according to Європейська правда.

The main part of Bogucki’s post is devoted to reproaches against Tusk regarding the appointment of judges, but at the end he decided to recall the earlier scandal of taking the order away from the President of Ukraine.

"Instead of placing meaningless signatures on acts regarding the appointment of assessors, on which there was always only the signature of the President of the Republic of Poland, I urge you to find the courage to fulfill your duty and actually sign the president's resolution on stripping the President of Ukraine of the Order of the White Eagle", – Bogucki wrote.

It is worth noting that when President Karol Nawrocki decided to strip Zelenskyy of the order, Donald Tusk also had to sign the corresponding decision. However, the President of Ukraine returned the order before that.

Let us recall that on the evening of June 19, Polish President Karol Nawrocki decided to strip President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy of the Order of the White Eagle due to the naming of one of the Ukrainian units in honor of the heroes of the UPA and stated that Poland would not allow those who do not understand the need to abandon the "cult of totalitarianism and violence" to join the EU.

On July 3, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, during a meeting in Warsaw with Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, proposed a package of anti-crisis measures to defuse tensions in relations with Poland.
