US President Donald Trump denies the information that appeared in the media about American military facing ammunition shortages amid the war with Iran. He wrote about this on his social network Truth Social, according to Європейська правда.

The American president assures that the US has "huge" missile stockpiles. He also threatened media sources with "long prison terms."

"The US has huge stockpiles of ammunition, particularly of certain types. In addition, significant amounts of ammunition are produced and supplied in the US as needed. Defense companies are building the largest number of plants and factories in the history of our country", – Trump noted.

In addition, according to him, searches are underway for the media sources that "spread these treacherous statements."

"Long prison terms will be sought", – Trump added.

Earlier, the media reported that the United States has so far spent about 80% of its available stocks of the key air defense system, and military officials warn that their levels in warehouses are "dangerously low."

Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth denied reports that appeared in the media that the US armed forces are running out of stocks of key missiles.

Meanwhile, according to WP, Trump demanded an explanation from Hegseth about why he was apparently misled regarding the acute ammunition shortage.
