Stefanyshyn was granted a preventive measure, she says she has no money for bail

The High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a preventive measure on former Deputy Prime Minister and ex-Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Olga Stefanyshyn in the form of a bail of UAH 6 million.

Stefanyshyn was also imposed a number of procedural obligations for a period of two months. She must appear upon summons by detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, the prosecutor, and the court, and also notify of changes to her place of residence or stay.

In addition, the court banned her from communicating with a number of individuals involved in the case, including Mazurenko, Holodovych, Buriachenko, and Shatokhin.

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for October 10 at 3:00 PM.

Stefanyshyn herself stated that she does not have the funds to post bail but will search for them.

"I have no funds – neither 13, nor 10, nor 6 [million]. But, of course, I will look for these funds in order to be able to post bail", she said.

The ex-Deputy Prime Minister also added that she would consult with lawyers regarding a possible appeal of the decision.

The day before, Stefanyshyn was served a new suspicion notice. Its content and legal classification were not officially disclosed by law enforcement. Meanwhile, media reported that the case may be related to possible illicit enrichment and the acquisition of real estate by the former official’s family.

In 2025, hromadske published an investigation into a three-room apartment of about 100 sq. m in the Kyiv residential complex "Lvivska Ploshcha," which Stefanyshyn’s mother purchased for UAH 3.04 million. Journalists reported that the minimum price for similar apartments from the developer at that time was about UAH 12 million. Stefanyshyn herself explained that her parents had invested in the housing back in 2019 and took advantage of an installment plan.

Earlier, media sources also claimed that the new suspicion may concern income that the investigation considers illegal. At the same time, there is currently no confirmation that these exact circumstances became the basis for the suspicion served.

On the eve of the court session, the former official called the publicity surrounding the case "a storm in a teacup." Stefanyshyn is presumed innocent until her guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
