In the Marhanets, Pokrov, and Chervonohryhorivka communities of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, restoration works on centralized water supply are ongoing round the clock. The settlements were left without water due to an accident on the main water pipeline.

The accident was caused by the failure of pumping equipment. The repair is being carried out by the regional water resources office of the State Water Resources Agency, on whose balance the pipeline is held.

According to the preliminary plan, centralized water supply should be restored by the end of August 6. The works are being conducted around the clock, coordinated by the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, and the involved services.

During the repair, alternative water supply has been organized in the communities. Pokrov is already receiving technical water. In Marhanets, eight wells with drinking water are operating, and additional reservoirs are being installed in various parts of the city.

With the support of humanitarian organizations, over 33 tonnes of bottled drinking water have been delivered to the Chervonohryhorivka community. Deliveries are ongoing.

The Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration has also instructed a service analysis of the actions of officials and institutions responsible for the operation of the main water pipeline. The findings are to be provided after the accident consequences are mitigated.

The situation is being monitored round the clock. The progress of restoration works was reported to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Serhiy Koretskyi.
