Russia destroyed over 400 thousand square meters of warehouses in Ukraine in a month - media

Since the beginning of July, Russian strikes have destroyed over 400 thousand square meters of warehouses and logistics complexes of Ukrainian businesses. This estimate is reported by Forbes Ukraine.

The infrastructure of the largest retailers and logistics operators came under attack, including Fozzy Group, Rozetka, "Epicentr," and "Nova Poshta." Hundreds of small entrepreneurs who stored goods in the warehouses of large companies also suffered losses.

Particularly extensive destruction of business occurred in Kyiv and the region on the night of August 5. Russia attacked more than eight warehouses and logistics facilities of large companies. Among the damaged or destroyed are the Novus logistics center, two "Epicentr" complexes, the largest warehouse of Rozetka, as well as warehouses of "Silpo," Puma, Liqui Moly, Toyota Ukraine, and Denka Logistics.

Due to the strikes, companies are losing not only buildings and inventory. The destruction of large distribution centers threatens the stability of supply of products, medicines, and other essential goods, especially to front-line regions.

After the latest attacks, Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky held an urgent meeting with representatives of retail, logistics companies, and other enterprises. The government is preparing credit support mechanisms for affected businesses. A separate meeting is planned with the leadership of the National Bank, banks, and relevant ministries.

Additionally, the authorities are working on the decentralization of international logistics, expansion of the customs corridor, and war risk insurance. International partners are planned to be involved in creating appropriate mechanisms.

The state is ready to provide enterprises with priority access to vacant premises so that companies can disperse warehouse capacities. The Ministry of Economy, the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), and the State Property Fund are to compile a list of available objects within three days.
