Uklon closed a deal to acquire an electric scooter operator
Uklon has completed the acquisition of 100% of the corporate rights of the Ukrainian electric scooter rental operator e-Wings. The base transaction amount is 97.6 million UAH and may be adjusted in accordance with its terms.
This is the first M&A deal to acquire another business in Uklon's history. After the deal closure, the company launches a separate micromobility direction under the name Uklon Scooters.
During the transition period, electric scooter rental will remain available through the e-Wings app in all cities where the service is present. At the same time, Uklon has already started integrating scooter rental into its own app.
To develop the new direction, a Micromobility business unit was created. It is headed by e-Wings co-founder Roman Motruk, and another co-founder of the company, Oleg Bily, will be responsible for operational activities. Over 20 e-Wings employees have also joined the Uklon team.
