Customs detected violations worth billions of hryvnias: the indicator increased by 20%

During January-July 2026, Ukrainian customs authorities detected 6,797 violations of customs regulations totaling over UAH 2.7 billion. The number of recorded offenses increased by 20% compared to the same period last year.

In 2,803 cases, customs officers temporarily seized goods, vehicles, and currency with a total value of UAH 443 million. Industrial goods accounted for the largest share.

  • Industrial goods – worth UAH 308 million;
  • Food products – worth UAH 88 million;
  • Vehicles – worth over UAH 42 million;
  • Currency – worth UAH 5 million.

In 629 cases, customs imposed administrative fines amounting to UAH 19 million. A total of UAH 33 million was actually collected for the state budget, including proceedings initiated in previous periods.

Additionally, 4,132 cases of customs rule violations worth nearly UAH 2 billion were referred to the courts.

Based on the review of these and previously initiated cases, courts imposed fines and issued confiscation orders for goods totaling UAH 5.9 billion.
