Share of electric cars among imported used cars fell to 15%
In July 2026, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with 22.6 thousand used cars imported from abroad. This is 1% more than in July last year and also more than the June figure.
Over the year, the structure of imports by powertrain type has changed noticeably. Gasoline cars strengthened their leadership: their share grew from 48% to 55%.
At the same time, the share of electric cars decreased immediately by 9 percentage points – from 24% in July 2025 to 15% in July 2026.
The share of diesel cars decreased from 19% to 17%. Instead, hybrid cars became more popular: their share increased from 6% to 10% over the year. Cars with LPG equipment, as last year, accounted for 3% of initial registrations.

The average age of used cars that received Ukrainian license plates in July was 8.8 years.
Which used cars Ukrainians imported most often
For the first time, the crossover Volkswagen Tiguan became the leader of the July rating, surpassing Volkswagen Golf. Audi Q5 took third place. Thus, the entire top three was formed by models of brands from the Volkswagen Group.

Despite the overall reduction in the share of electric cars, two Tesla models remained among the ten most popular imported used cars. At the same time, most of the positions in the rating were taken by gasoline and diesel crossovers.
