In Russia, drones attack Wildberries logistics complex and oil refinery
On the night of August 11, drones attacked the Wildberries logistics complex in Voronezh region and an oil refinery in Orsk, Orenburg region. Massive fires broke out at the facilities. Ukraine has not officially commented on these strikes.
In the village of Alexandrovka, Novousmansky district, Voronezh region, a fire broke out at the Wildberries logistics complex after explosions. The publication Astra identified the site using videos and photos from local residents.
Voronezh region Governor Alexander Gusev reported that, as a result of a drone crash, fires broke out at two warehouses of a large company. At one facility, the fire was contained over an area of 16,000 sq m, while at another the fire covered an area of 20,000 sq m. Debris also damaged three trucks and a passenger car.
In the attack area, one person died and two more were injured. According to Astra, local residents provided first aid to the victims before medics arrived. One of the wounded was taken to hospital in serious condition.
Wildberries' press service confirmed the evacuation of workers. Footage released after the attack shows massive destruction and thick black smoke over the facility's territory.
The logistics complex was fully opened in November 2025. Its total area is 152,900 sq m, and its capacity is designed to store over 90 million product items. The combined Wildberries & Russ company invested about 11 billion rubles in the construction of the facility.
Fire at Orsk Oil Refinery
On the morning of August 11, residents of Orsk, Orenburg region, reported explosions and a drone attack. Regional Governor Yevgeny Solntsev announced the introduction of a "Carpet" plan. Due to the air threat, the airport of Orenburg temporarily suspended arrivals and departures.
Monitoring channel Exilenova+ published photos and videos of a fire on the territory of the Orsknefteorgsintez enterprise. The footage also captured secondary explosions and smoke over the plant.
According to preliminary OSINT analysis, the strike might have hit the crude distillation unit CDU-VDU. At the same time, there is no official confirmation of damage to this unit or information about the extent of consequences yet.
Another refinery catches fire in Komsomolsk-on-Amur
On the same day, a fire broke out at the Komsomolsk oil refinery of Rosneft in Khabarovsk Krai. Astra confirmed the ignition site through analysis of eyewitness footage. The causes of the fire have not been established.
The company's press service stated that auxiliary equipment caught fire. The fire was extinguished, and there were no casualties. Factory representatives also claim that the enterprise did not cease operations.
The design capacity of the Komsomolsk refinery is about 8 million tons of crude oil per year. The enterprise produces gasoline, diesel and bunker fuel and remains one of the key suppliers of petroleum products in the Russian Far East.
