In Zaporizhzhia, a shopping center was damaged, about 1200 consumers were left without electricity

On the night of August 12, Russian troops struck Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the attack, a shopping center in one of the city's residential areas was damaged, reported Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

A fire broke out in the building. Based on released photos and videos, the shopping center of the "Epicentr" chain was hit, however the official name of the facility was not reported.

A private house was also damaged: windows were shattered, the gate and fence were damaged. The fire that broke out near the house was extinguished by rescuers.

Due to the strike, about 1200 consumers in one of the districts of Zaporizhzhia were left without electricity. Power engineers will begin restoration work as soon as the security situation allows.

According to preliminary data, there are no casualties.

Facilities of the "Epicentr" chain have been damaged before as a result of Russian attacks. In particular, after the massive attack on Kyiv and the region on August 5, the company reported the destruction of two warehouses. Also, after the shelling, a tile production plant ceased operations — it is being relocated abroad.
