The Ministry of Defense Agency Orders Chinese and Taiwanese Buggies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine Worth Over UAH 1 Billion

The state enterprise of the Ministry of Defense "Defense Procurement Agency" has ordered 1,500 buggies of Chinese and Taiwanese manufacture with a total value of UAH 1.05 billion.

Contracts based on the tender results were concluded on August 7 with the private enterprise "Budpostach". The supplier must deliver the equipment by December 20, 2026, reports "Nashi Groshi" citing data from the Prozorro system.

The order includes:

  • 1,200 Chinese two-seater Hisun Strike 1000 buggies with a petrol engine volume of 976 cc and a power of 68 horsepower;
  • 300 Taiwanese three-seater TGB Landmax 1000 buggies with an engine volume of 997 cc and a power of 83 horsepower.

Both models have a selectable all-wheel drive 44, off-road tires and can reach speeds up to 100 km/h. The range of the Chinese model is 280 km, the Taiwanese — 320 km.

The delivery set will include the buggies themselves, driver tools, a jack, a fire extinguisher, spare parts, and operational documentation in Ukrainian. The warranty period will be 12 months. Maintenance and repair can be carried out by repair units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The price of the Chinese Hisun Strike 1000 depends on the lot and ranges from UAH 632,450 to UAH 715,500 per unit. "Nashi Groshi" notes that Ukrainian stores offer this model mainly cheaper — approximately from UAH 576,000 to UAH 617,000. At the same time, some sellers set the price above UAH 737,000, and the characteristics of the machines presented in stores slightly differ from the tender documentation.

The Taiwanese TGB Landmax 1000 were ordered at prices ranging from UAH 750,000 to UAH 805,500. There are no current offers for this model in Ukraine, while on foreign platforms its cost ranges from approximately UAH 803,500 to UAH 1.13 million.

Other suppliers also competed for the tender lots, offering Chinese quads Warrior 1000 MXD and buggies Beast 1000, Hisun Strike 1000 and Segway Fugleman UTV 1000F. Their offers were rejected due to deficiencies in documents, lack of translations, or non-compliance with technical requirements.

The enterprise "Budpostach" is registered in Kyiv in 1996. Its founder and director is Dmytro Shytlin. Since 2017, the company has received government orders worth UAH 1.67 billion.
