The Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine has uncovered an FSB agent network that collected data for Russian strikes on the Defense Forces in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad regions. Four suspects were detained simultaneously.

According to the SBU, the network members acted separately from each other, but maintained contact with a common handler from Russia.

The priority targets of the Russian special service were logistics warehouses with weapons and ammunition, positions of Ukrainian air defense, as well as areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the AFU.

One of the detainees turned out to be a former employee of a machine-building plant from Kramatorsk. According to the investigation, he searched for locations of operational airfields and fortification structures in the region for the Russian side.

Two more suspects were detained in Dnipropetrovsk region. They are an employee of a municipal enterprise from Kamianske and a deserter from Pavlohrad. They are accused of transmitting coordinates of Ukrainian military objects.

In Kirovohrad region, the SBU detained an unemployed resident of Znamianka. According to the special service, he walked around the city and recorded geolocations of objects that, in his opinion, could be used by the Defense Forces.

The SBU claims that the individuals came to the attention of the FSB after posting anti-Ukrainian comments in Telegram channels. They passed the collected information to the Russian handler through an anonymous chat, and after each communication session they deleted the correspondence.

SBU officers documented the group's activities and detained all four suspects. They were served a notice of suspicion of high treason committed under martial law, under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The individuals are in custody. If found guilty, they could face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
