Ministry of Economy significantly lowers minimum export prices for grain
The Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine has approved the minimum permissible export prices for agricultural products for August 2026. For wheat and corn, the main price thresholds have significantly decreased compared to July.
The new indicators are established by Order No. 381 of the Ministry of Economy dated August 10. In the document, prices are given in US dollars per kilogram. Converted per tonne, the minimum prices for major cereals are:
- wheat – $122 on CPT terms and $132 on FOB and CIF terms
- corn – $119 on CPT terms and $144 on FOB and CIF terms
- barley – $141 on CPT terms and $130 on FOB and CIF terms
- rye – $129 on CPT, FOB and CIF terms
- oats – $179 on CPT, FOB and CIF terms.
The minimum prices for wheat decreased the most during the month. On a CPT basis, the indicator dropped from $180 to $122 per tonne – by $58, or about 32%. On FOB and CIF terms, the price decreased from $189 to $132 per tonne – by $57.
For corn, the minimum price on CPT terms decreased from $169 to $119 per tonne, i.e. by $50. On FOB and CIF bases, the indicator decreased from $183 to $144 per tonne – by $39.
For oilseed crops, the Ministry of Economy set divergent indicators. The minimum price of rapeseed is $345 per tonne on CPT terms and $361 on FOB and CIF terms. For soybeans, $153 and $289 per tonne respectively are set, and for sunflower seeds – $414 and $186 per tonne.
The approved values are not purchase or exchange prices. They are minimum thresholds for processing the export of goods covered by the export security regime. The threshold amount depends on the terms of delivery under Incoterms rules.
In addition to grain and oilseed crops, the order covers honey, walnuts, soybean, sunflower and rapeseed oils, as well as meal and other solid residues from the extraction of vegetable fats.
