On the morning of August 13, drones attacked industrial and logistics infrastructure in the Russian region of Bashkortostan. A fire broke out on the territory of the "Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat" oil refinery, and ignitions were also reported at a Wildberries warehouse.

Initially, residents of Salavat reported explosions and smoke from the refinery. Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov confirmed the drone attack. According to him, the debris of one drone fell in the industrial zone of the city, leading to a fire.

OSINT specialist Astra analyzed the materials posted by eyewitnesses and determined that the smoke was rising from the territory of the "Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat" refinery.

Local residents told Astra that the first explosions were heard around 09:10 local time. After that, air defense activity and sirens were heard in the city. According to eyewitnesses, the attack continued even after the fire started.

Wildberries logistics center hit

During the attack, a Wildberries logistics center in the Chishminsky district of Bashkortostan was also hit. The location of the facility was confirmed by Astra based on OSINT analysis.

The complex with an area of about 186,800 square meters has been under construction since 2024. It consists of two buildings with areas of 123,300 and 63,500 square meters. The facility is not yet fully completed, but part of its capacity has already been used in Wildberries’ logistics system.

There is no official confirmation of damage to the Wildberries complex or information about the scale of destruction at the time of publication.

No reports of casualties have been received so far. The Ukrainian military has not commented on the attack on facilities in Bashkortostan.

The refinery was attacked in July

"Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat" is one of the largest oil refining and petrochemical complexes in Russia. In 2024, the enterprise processed about 7.2 million tons of oil — approximately 2.7% of the country's total refining volume.

The plant was previously attacked on July 14, 2026. After the strike, the enterprise suspended oil processing due to damage to key production units.
