On August 13, the bodies of 261 deceased were returned to Ukraine following repatriation measures. The Russian side claims they belong to Ukrainian military personnel, but this still needs to be established by experts.

As reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, investigators from law enforcement agencies, together with representatives of expert institutions, will conduct the necessary research to identify the repatriated deceased.

Russian State Duma deputy Shamsail Saraliev stated that the bodies of 24 deceased were transferred to the Russian side. The Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters does not mention this figure in its message.

The previous repatriation measures between Ukraine and Russia took place on July 16.
