Russia struck a house in Kramatorsk: one person killed, 15 more wounded

Russian troops attacked Kramatorsk and the settlement of Bilenke in Donetsk Oblast on the evening of August 13. As a result of the strike, one person was killed and 15 more were wounded.

This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration Vadym Filashkin.

According to preliminary data, one of the hits was on a residential building. Emergency and utility services are working at the site, and medical assistance is being provided to the injured.

Filashkin emphasized that information about the consequences of the strike remains operational. Specialists continue to inspect damaged buildings and the territory, so the number of casualties and the scale of destruction may be updated.

The type of weapon used by Russian troops for the evening strike was not specified in the initial report by the head of the OMA.

Kramatorsk community regularly subjected to strikes

Kramatorsk and settlements included in the community have been repeatedly subjected to Russian air and drone attacks in recent months. The strikes lead to civilian casualties and destruction of residential infrastructure.

In particular, on July 10, Russian troops carried out seven air strikes on Kramatorsk and Bilenke. Then four people were killed, including a 14-year-old teenager, and 13 more were wounded. One of the aerial bombs hit a multi-story building, another hit a store, and the rest hit the private sector.

At the end of July, Bilenke was again subjected to an air strike. After hits on residential buildings, rescuers pulled the bodies of three dead from under the rubble. Another woman was wounded. Rescue operations lasted about 17 hours.

Due to the deteriorating security situation, the authorities of Donetsk Oblast earlier expanded the mandatory evacuation zone for families with children. It includes certain streets of Kramatorsk and Bilenke, as well as a number of other settlements in the region.

Oblast authorities regularly urge residents of front-line territories not to postpone evacuation, especially families with children, elderly people, and those who need constant medical care.
