Since the beginning of the year, TCCs have transferred over 1.5 million requests for the search of persons liable for military service to the police
Since the beginning of 2026, the territorial recruitment and social support centers have transferred over 1.5 million requests to the National Police for the search of citizens evading the call-up for mobilization.
This was stated by the acting head of the National Police, Maksym Tsutskiridze, in an interview with Censor.NET.
According to him, the search for persons liable for military service is one of the areas where the police constantly interact with the TCCs and the Armed Forces. The parties exchange information and coordinate actions, in particular regarding citizens who are wanted in connection with mobilization.
At the same time, the figure of over 1.5 million refers specifically to the number of requests received by the police from the TCCs. The National Police did not specify how many unique citizens appear in these requests.
Police investigated over 20,000 cases of evasion
Tsutskiridze also reported that during martial law, investigators of the National Police have investigated over 20,000 criminal proceedings on facts of evasion from the call-up for mobilization.
The largest number of such proceedings has been recorded in large industrial and border regions. In Dnipropetrovsk region there are over 1.9 thousand, in Zakarpattia - about 1.5 thousand, and over a thousand more in Volyn, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions. A significant number of cases are also in Lviv, Vinnytsia, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions.
Separately, law enforcement officers are investigating possible abuses during mobilization. Suspicions have already been received by 76 heads of TCCs at the regional, district, and city levels, about 80% of them are heads of district recruitment centers.
Among the schemes investigated by the police are receiving bribes for necessary decisions, illegal execution of military registration documents, making changes to the "Oberih" register, fictitious recognition of unfitness for service, and organization of illegal travel abroad.
