General Staff confirms destruction at rocket fuel plant in Russia

At the Russian enterprise "Kombinat Kamensky", after the attack by the Defense Forces of Ukraine, two production workshops were destroyed, four more were damaged. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the results of the strike.

This concerns the attack on the night of August 16, 2026, on an enterprise in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Rostov Oblast, RF.

Following analysis of additional data, the General Staff confirmed the destruction of two and damage to four more workshops where explosives and powders were produced.

The plant produces solid rocket fuel

"Kombinat Kamensky" belongs to the enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex. According to the General Staff, the plant, in particular, produces solid rocket fuel for ammunition of multiple launch rocket systems "Uragan", "Smerch" and "Tornado-S".

Also, the enterprise's products are used for a number of other missile systems and aviation weapons.

Initially, the General Staff reported only the hitting of the enterprise and a fire on its territory, noting that the scale of damage was being clarified. After analyzing additional data, the military released specific results of the strike.

Overall, damage or destruction has been confirmed in six production workshops of the enterprise.
