Ukrainian drone "Dovbush T40" with a range of over 2000 km approved for use

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified the Ukrainian unmanned aerial complex "Dovbush T40", which is capable of covering more than 2000 km and staying in the air for over a day.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The wingspan of the drone is almost five meters. According to the defense department, the claimed flight range is sufficient for performing tasks at a significant distance.

During tests, the drone demonstrated low radar visibility, high engine performance with an electronic injection system, and resistance to electronic warfare means.

The complex can receive various equipment options depending on the task. The Ministry of Defense states the possibility of using it for deep reconnaissance, fire adjustment, and strike missions.

The Ministry of Defense noted that the range of over 2000 km and flight duration of over a day theoretically allow the complex to operate at distances up to the Urals and western Siberia.

What codification means

Codification is the final stage before the approval of a new type of weapon or equipment for operation or its adoption into service. After the procedure, the item acquires the status of a supply item and can be procured by the Ministry of Defense.

Since the beginning of 2026, the Ministry of Defense has codified and approved for use already 1000 types of weapons and military equipment. 892 of them are of Ukrainian production.
