On the morning of August 18, as a result of a Russian attack, a hit occurred at the EVA distribution center in Brovary, Kyiv Oblast. According to preliminary information from the company, no people were injured, but a fire broke out at the facility, which rescuers continue to extinguish.

The distribution center serves both retail stores of the EVA chain and the EVA.UA online store. While the fire is being extinguished, the company cannot definitively assess the scale of damage.

According to EVA's preliminary assessment, both the online store warehouse and warehouse space from where goods are shipped to physical stores of the chain could have been affected by the attack.

Possible order delays and shortages of certain goods

The company warned that due to the consequences of the strike, certain goods may temporarily be unavailable in some EVA stores. Also, delays in fulfilling some orders placed through EVA.UA are possible.

If the attack affects a specific online order, EVA contact center representatives promise to contact the customer after clarifying the situation and offer solutions.

The company plans to determine the exact scale of losses after rescuers finish their work and the distribution center is inspected.

Russian strikes on logistics infrastructure have recently inflicted increasing damage on Ukrainian businesses. Earlier, "Kurs Ukrainy" reported that in just one month, more than 400 thousand square meters of warehouse space were destroyed in Ukraine as a result of Russian attacks.
