Infrastructure facilities are temporarily being powered by alternative sources. Power engineers have already begun work to restore electricity supply.

According to the latest data from the Regional State Administration, in Zaporizhzhia, eight multi-story and eight private houses were damaged. Utility services are working on the ground, covering broken windows and helping residents deal with the consequences of the shelling.

Commercial facilities suffered damage as well. RIA South reports significant destruction at the Angolenko market. The published footage shows destroyed market stalls, counters, and cars. A furniture store that has repeatedly suffered from Russian shelling was also damaged.

According to local entrepreneurs, shops and office premises in the market area were also damaged. Some goods and commercial equipment were destroyed or unfit for use.

Separately, the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation claimed new drone attacks on shipping and port infrastructure of Ukraine. The Russian agency asserted that on the evening of August 18, a dry cargo ship in the Black Sea was attacked, and on August 19, objects in the port of Chornomorsk were attacked. The Ukrainian side at the time of publication did not confirm these specific claims, and there is no independent confirmation of the Russian statements either.
