Russia intensifies attacks: 189 combat clashes occurred on the front

Since the beginning of the day on August 19, 189 combat clashes have occurred on the front. Russian troops carried out the largest number of attacks in the Pokrovsk and Konstantinovka directions.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational summary as of 22:00 сообщил.

During the day, Russian troops carried out 70 air strikes and used 224 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy employed 6564 kamikaze drones and conducted 2260 shellings of settlements and positions of Ukrainian military.

In the Pokrovsk direction, 26 Russian attacks were recorded. The enemy attempted to advance in the areas of Volnoye, Kucherovo Yar, Annovka, Matyashevo, Svetloye, Belitskoye, Shevchenko, Vasilyevka, Kotlino, Udachnoye, Muravka, and Molodetskoye. According to preliminary data from the General Staff, in this sector the Defense Forces eliminated 33 Russian servicemen, and another 15 were wounded. Also destroyed were two artillery systems, four vehicles, a piece of special equipment, and two drone control points.

In the Konstantinovka direction, Ukrainian military repelled 21 assaults in the areas of Ivanopolye, Konstantinovka, Ilyinovka, Aleksandro-Shultino, and Novoselovka. Another 14 attempts to advance were stopped in the Slavyansk direction, and ten in the Liman direction. In the South Slobozhansky direction, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions eight times, with two clashes ongoing at the time of publication of the summary.

In the Gulyaypole direction, seven attacks were recorded, in the Aleksandrovka direction five, and in the Orekhov direction three. In the Kupyansk and Pridneprovsk directions, no enemy assault actions were recorded during the day.
