Russia's night attacks damaged industrial facilities, warehouses and infrastructure (Updated)

As a result of Russian attacks on the night of August 20, industrial, warehouse and infrastructure facilities in Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions were damaged. Fires broke out at a number of facilities.

The most confirmed damage to non-residential facilities was recorded in Kyiv. In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a hit occurred on the territory of an industrial facility. Rescuers localized fires in two warehouse buildings on areas of 500 and 1000 square meters, another warehouse burned on an area of about 500 square meters.

In the Darnytskyi district, a hit was recorded on the territory of a non-residential facility. There, warehouse premises and cars caught fire, the total fire area was about 1000 square meters. In the Solomianskyi district, among other things, a store, cars and garages burned, and a medical facility building was damaged.

Part of the Sviatoshynskyi and Solomianskyi districts of Kyiv was left without electricity. According to city authorities, energy workers are investigating the cause of the outages.

Residential buildings were also affected. In particular, in a nine-story building in the Solomianskyi district, the upper floors were destroyed, and windows were blown out in other buildings.

According to updated figures from city officials, 13 people were killed in Kyiv, and another 34 were injured. Tomorrow will be a day of mourning in Kyiv, and all entertainment events will be canceled, said the capital’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko.

In the Brovary district of Kyiv region, one of the industrial facilities was damaged, where a fire broke out after the attack. One man died, and another injured person is in the hospital.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, during the night Russian forces attacked four districts with drones, artillery and aerial bombs nearly 20 times. In Apostolove of the Kryvyi Rih district, a fire broke out after the attack and infrastructure was damaged. Infrastructure facilities were also damaged in the Vasylkiv community of the Synelnykove district. In the Nikopol district, shops, cars and a house of culture were damaged.

In Kharkiv, a Russian drone of the "Molniya" type attacked a gas station in the Industrialnyi district. City authorities reported that the consequences of the strike are being clarified.
