Mudra was warned in advance about the NABU investigation — UP

Former Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Iryna Mudra, even before the searches on August 19, said that she had been warned about the existence of a NABU case against her. She was also advised not to appear in public places together with one of the future defendants in the case, Maksym Mykytas.

This became known during the selection of preventive measures for the defendants in the NABU and SAPO operation "Forrest Gump", writes "Ukrainska Pravda".

According to the publication, Mudra told Mykytas that someone had warned her about the existence of a NABU case and advised them not to appear together in public places. Who exactly conveyed this information to her is not indicated in the material.

Therefore, at present there are no grounds to assert that this is specifically about a leak of information from NABU or SAPO. It has only been established that Mudra herself spoke about the advance warning she received.

At the same time, other defendants in the case also feared surveillance by anti-corruption bodies. According to information heard in court, Maksym Mykytas and Vadym Stolar at the beginning of summer discussed organizing counter-surveillance that was supposed to follow them.

From their conversation it follows that they assumed NABU had wiretapping and feared that the recordings could later be examined by experts and used by the investigation.

Despite the warning, on the morning of August 19, NABU and SAPO conducted searches within the framework of the operation "Forrest Gump". One of the defendants was Mudra, who is accused by the investigation of participating in a scheme to collect and legalize funds for the bail of former minister Herman Halushchenko.

On the same day, Mudra announced that she had submitted her resignation from the post of deputy head of the Presidential Office and would defend her name on her own, without involving the state in this.
