Biedronka will open over 120 stores in Poland and is hiring workers
Poland's largest retail chain Biedronka is actively hiring workers amid further expansion. In 2026, the company plans to open over 120 net new stores in the country, and starting salaries in stores are from 5,300 PLN gross per month.
Business Insider Polska reports. According to the outlet, in the first half of the year alone, Biedronka opened 38 stores. Taking into account the closure of some outlets, the net increase was 15 stores, and at the end of June, the chain had 3,897 stores.
The network expansion is accompanied by recruitment. New employees are being sought, among others, in Warsaw, Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, Katowice, Gliwice, Zabrze, Elbląg, Bolesławiec, Żywiec, and the Gdynia area. Vacancies are also open in smaller towns, including Rutki-Kossaki, Bakałarzewo, Bysław, Kamień, and Poronin.
From January 2026, a cashier-salesperson or traditional counter worker at Biedronka earns at the start from 5,300 to 5,650 PLN gross per month. For employees with more than three years of experience, the salary is from 5,450 to 5,900 PLN gross.
Deputy store managers are offered from 5,950 PLN gross, and the starting salary of a store manager is from 7,450 PLN. Including the variable part, a manager's income can reach 9,250 PLN gross per month. At the chain's warehouses, salaries start from 5,500 PLN. These rates are listed on the official Biedronka job site.
In addition to the base salary, the company offers monthly bonuses, seniority-based raises, an annual bonus, and electronic codes for purchases at Biedronka and Hebe stores. In total, employees are offered more than 20 benefit and support programs.
Biedronka announced the plan to open 120 net new stores in 2026 back in the spring. The company is simultaneously modernizing existing outlets and expanding logistics infrastructure: in July, the chain opened its 18th distribution center in Poland near Rzeszów, where about 500 jobs were planned.
