Mykytas had a pre-trial restriction imposed in the case of money laundering and raiding
Former People's Deputy and developer Maksym Mykytas had a pre-trial restriction imposed in the form of detention with the possibility of posting a 30 million UAH bail in a new criminal proceeding of NABU and SAPO.
Prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office asked the court to set a much larger alternative bail - 200 million UAH. The court agreed with the need for detention, but set the bail at 30 million UAH.
During the hearing, Mykytas stated that he was ready to cooperate with the investigation. At the same time, he called the criminal proceeding "political manipulation".
After the announcement of the decision, the former MP also reported that the defense planned to appeal the chosen pre-trial restriction in the appellate order.
What Mykytas is suspected of
Mykytas became one of the figurants of a new large-scale operation of NABU and SAPO. One of the key episodes concerns the legalization of 150 million UAH, which were used to post bail for former Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko - a figurant of the "Midas" case.
According to the investigation, the cash was to be passed through accounts of controlled companies, after which the legal entities formally transferred the funds as bail. In the recordings of conversations published by NABU, the figurants discuss the organization of this operation and the movement of large amounts of cash.
The new proceeding is much broader than the bail episode. NABU announced the activities of a criminal organization, whose participants, according to the investigation, were engaged in illegal seizure of enterprises and real estate, interference with state registers and legalization of funds.
In particular, the investigation claims that in the autumn of 2025, the participants of the scheme seized assets of enterprises worth over 248 million UAH. The goal of one of the episodes was to gain control over real estate in the center of Kyiv worth over 500 million UAH. In May 2026, the group, according to NABU, also attempted to seize other real estate objects with a total value of over 207 million UAH.
Earlier, Kurs reported about an episode in which the investigation links Mykytas to an attempt to regain control over a former asset of "Ukrbud" in the center of Kyiv through an alleged raider scheme, as well as about new NABU recordings regarding the group's activities.
Mykytas does not admit his guilt. At this stage, it is the version of the investigation, and the guilt of the figurants can be established only by a court conviction.
