Russia attacked energy facilities, warehouses and enterprises in several regions (Updated)

On the night of August 24 and the day before, Russia carried out a series of strikes on enterprises, warehouses, energy and transport facilities in several regions of Ukraine. The most extensive consequences were recorded in Odesa region, gas stations were also damaged in Chernihiv and Poltava regions, and a fleet of buses was destroyed in Konotop.

In Odesa region, during a massive missile and drone attack, the main strike hit food warehouses and energy infrastructure, the regional military administration reported. Fires broke out at the affected facilities, and the aftermath is being dealt with.

Local Telegram channels reported that one of the attacked facilities was the "Epicentr" hypermarket in Odesa. According to them, the building was virtually destroyed by the strike and fire. The authorities have not yet officially confirmed the name of the damaged shopping facility.

Private houses were also damaged in Odesa region. According to preliminary information from the regional military administration, no casualties have been reported.

The Russian Ministry of Defense, for its part, claimed strikes on port infrastructure in Odesa region. The Russian agency claims that in the port of Pivdennyi, a fuel tanker, five fuel tanks, ten storage facilities, port infrastructure facilities, and the PS-330 "Adzhalyk" substation, which ensures the operation of the port, were hit. There is currently no independent confirmation of the full list of claimed hits by the Russian side.

In the Novhorod-Siverskyi district of Chernihiv region, a Russian strike hit a gas station. A fire broke out at the gas station and was extinguished by rescuers. A 59-year-old station employee was injured.

Another gas station was attacked by a Russian drone in Poltava district. According to the Poltava regional military administration, no people were injured in the strike.

A transport enterprise in Konotop, Sumy region, suffered significant damage. According to Artem Semenikhin, the "Korund-S" vehicle fleet was destroyed and buses burned down. Due to the loss of transport, some city and intercity routes may temporarily not operate from August 24.

In addition, after the attack, most of Konotop was left without gas supply. Preliminary, there are no dead or injured in the city.

Thus, during the latest series of Russian attacks, several types of civilian infrastructure were affected: shopping and food warehouses, energy facilities, gas stations, and a public transport enterprise.
