Cabinet allocates over UAH 5 billion for compensation for destroyed housing

The government directed UAH 5.14 billion for compensation to Ukrainians for housing destroyed as a result of Russian attacks within the eRecovery program. Thanks to the new funding, more than 3,600 families who have already received housing certificates will be able to purchase new homes.

The funds were provided by the Council of Europe Development Bank within the HOME project, the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

According to the government, housing certificates under the eRecovery program have already been received by more than 88 thousand families. Their total value is UAH 112.6 billion.

More than 33 thousand families have already used the certificates and purchased new housing. At the same time, about 55 thousand recipients are still awaiting funding.

The allocated UAH 5.14 billion should reduce this queue by more than 3,600 families.

The housing certificate under eRecovery is provided to owners of housing that was destroyed as a result of Russian aggression. It can be used to purchase a new apartment or house in accordance with the program conditions.
