Hyundai is preparing the biggest lineup renewal in its history
Hyundai Motor plans more than 100 global launches of new and updated models by 2030. The company will also increase production capacity by 1.27 million vehicles and expects to raise the share of electrified cars to 60% of total sales.
The automaker presented its new strategy on August 26 at CEO Investor Day 2026.
The most new and updated models are planned for North America - 58. In South Korea the company will carry out 49 launches, in Europe - 41, in India - 26, and in China - 22. Some of the vehicles will allow Hyundai to enter new segments.
Among the upcoming new products, the company named the new Elantra, IONIQ 3, Tucson and Tucson Hybrid, as well as Santa Fe EREV. Hyundai also plans to enter the mid-size frame pickup segment and expand its light commercial vehicle lineup.
Hyundai bets on hybrids
By 2030, Hyundai wants to sell 5.55 million vehicles per year and capture about 6% of the global market. Electrified models are expected to account for 60% of sales, up from 23% in 2025.
The company will pay special attention to North America. By the end of the decade, more than ten hybrid models will be offered there, and their share in Hyundai's regional sales is expected to reach 50%.
In the first half of 2027, the company will also begin selling its first EREVs - electric vehicles in which the internal combustion engine is used to generate electricity and extend range. The first will be the Santa Fe EREV with a claimed range of more than 600 miles, or about 960 km. It will be produced in Alabama.
In parallel, Hyundai plans to increase global production capacity by 1.27 million vehicles per year by 2030. In particular, North America will add 500 thousand vehicles, India - 320 thousand, South Korea - 200 thousand.
In the first half of 2026, Hyundai sold about 2 million vehicles, and the company's revenue amounted to 95.2 trillion won. Operating margin was 5.6%.
